The Drain Hole

Under the bonnet of a Mada Bongo (or Ford Freda) there is a drain hole to let excess rain water drain away. There is one problem though! it blocks up on a regular basis...and I mean regular!!!

When the hole blocks, the water will cascade down over your electrical components under the bonnet and can cause problems, so it's always a good idea to check regularly.

I've found the easiest method to clear it out is to use a length of curtain wire and clear the tube out.
